Our Founding and Forever Partner: McDonald's

McDonald’s Canada is more than a partner—it’s part of our story.
As our Founding and Forever Partner, McDonald’s plays a vital role in helping families from across BC and Yukon stay together and close to the care they need. McDonald’s is our largest donor, contributing approximately 25% of our overall fundraising revenues through national programs, local initiatives, and the generosity of guests like you.
We are deeply thankful for the continued partnership of every crew member, franchisee, supplier, corporate employee, and customer who supports Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon. Together, they help provide comfort, care, and community to families navigating one of life’s most difficult journeys.

A Legacy of Support
From the very beginning, McDonald’s and its founder George Cohon believed in supporting families with sick children. Today, that legacy lives on through the collective efforts of McDonald’s Owner/Operators, restaurants, and guests across BC and Yukon.

What Is McHappy Day?
McHappy Day is McDonald’s biggest day of community giving—happening May 8.
On this day, every menu item sold supports families with sick children, helping provide a home away from home at Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada.
Here in BC and Yukon, your order helps families stay together at RMH BC & Yukon, just steps from their child’s hospital bed.
How You Can Take Part:
On McHappy Day, there are so many ways to support families:
Buy any menu item – Yes, your coffee or Big Mac counts!
Round up your total – At the drive-thru, kiosk, or counter
Pick up McHappy Day merch – Socks, hats, hearts, and more
Order in – With FREE delivery on Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, and DoorDash
Visit your local McDonald’s and celebrate with your community
Be the Reason a family feels at home—even when they’re far from it. Because in BC and Yukon, neighbours help neighbours, and a little happy goes a long way.

Thank You McDonald's Canada
