We would like to congratulate event organizer Dave Pritchard and the TRUE team for their incredible accomplishments.

Cup fever hit the Okanagan this past May – the Corix Cup, that is. Built to Stanley Cup dimensions, this trophy has been awarded to winners of the TRUE Consulting Hockey Tournament since 2008.

The annual TRUE Consulting Tournament is run entirely by volunteers and has now raised almost $300,000 over 10 years. The 10th anniversary tournament which took place this past May at Kelowna’s Capital News Centre raised over $40,000, or 533 nights of accommodation and support for families at Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon.

The TRUE Tournament is the brainchild of Dave Pritchard, hockey fan, proud dad and Partner at TRUE Consulting Group. Supporting Ronald McDonald House is a cause that is close to his heart as a parent, and his passion to make a difference is shared by his colleagues at TRUE Consulting. “Many of our staff have young children and can only imagine what parents of seriously ill children must go through,” says Dave. “We are proud to support Ronald McDonald House BC to help keep families together.”

Dave and his colleagues also share the goal of supporting families from the Okanagan. Many event participants personally know families who have stayed at RMH BC, since 30% of our families come from Kelowna, Kamloops, and nearby communities each year.

The teams who enter the TRUE Tournament come primarily from the Okanagan engineering and construction community, including developers, municipalities, engineers, contractors, and suppliers. Many teams have also fully embraced the cause and started fundraising for RMH BC. In 2015, due to overwhelming demand for team registration, the Tournament expanded to include a soccer division. https://krootez.com/

In 2017, the End of the Roll Vipers took home the Corix Cup and Emil Anderson Construction took home the Emco Cup for soccer.
