    Meet Nicola

    “We’ve called the helicopter. It’s on its way.”

    These are words that Mike and Kristina Veltri never expected to hear when they took their 16-month-old daughter Nicola to the doctor. Now, Ronald McDonald House BC and Yukon is home for this Vancouver Island family while Nicola receives life-saving treatment for leukemia.

    Meet Tegan

    Tegan Chamberlin is one and a half years old and has already spent almost twelve months in the hospital. Born with a malformation of the lymph system and needing surgery at birth, she was flown from Kamloops to Vancouver, where Ronald McDonald House became a refuge for her family.
